IBM Intelligent Transportation requires an IBM Intelligent Operations Center. IBM Intelligent Operations Center must meet minimum hardware requirements. IBM Intelligent Transportation installs into the IBM Intelligent Operations Center.

To use the Intelligent Operations Center, you must have one of the following browsers installed with JavaScript™ enabled.
- Internet Explorer 8.0.
- Mozilla Firefox 3.0, 3.5, 3.6.
Note that Internet Explorer 9.0 and Mozilla Firefox 4.0 are not supported
Operating System:
- RedHat Enterprise Linux Server 5.5 or RedHat Enterprise Linux Advanced Platform 5.5, 64-bit version only.

Server requirements
Each server must have an x86 64-bit processor including one of the following:
- AMD 64-bit processors
- Intel Extended Memory 64 Technology (EM64T) processors
Each IBM Intelligent Operations Center recommends the processors, memory, and hard disk space shown below.

Hardware configuration sizings are intended for a high availability, energy efficient, easy to manage and extend environment, with x86 servers such as IBM BladeCenter H with IBM blades and Intel Xeon EP and EX processors, storage, and associated networking components.
Note:
- The /tmp folder on the installation management server must have at least 35 GB of available space.
- Define swap space for each server to be twice the amount of the physical memory. For example, if a server has 16 GB memory, define 32 GB of swap space.
Additional hardware might be required if you plan on using Tivoli® Service Request Manager® with the IBM Intelligent Operations Center.
Client requirements:
Each client accessing the IBM Intelligent Operations Center must meet the following hardware requirements:
- A monitor with a minimum 1280 x 800 resolution
- 2 GB memory
- Network access with sufficient bandwidth for complex web client generation and continuous data updates.
