It is a user-friendly layer on top of RACF which enables security administration, user management and compliance management on the mainframe by:

For example, you can automate recurring, time-consuming security tasks such as managing passwords, password phrases, and copying or removing user and group IDs including all their references. Simplifies complex into one-step actions that you can perform without extensive knowledge of RACF and with only minimal training. Administer multiple RACF databases Security zSecure Admin simplifies the management of multiple RACF data bases allowing you to send and execute the same commands to multiple systems. Enables administrators to keep multiple RACF databases synchronized with the same level of security information.
Displays data from the active (live) RACF database Administrators can view current information, including recent changes by other administrators. Enables the administrator to immediately verify the effect of the changes without waiting for a refresh of the extract file or unloaded RACF database.
RACF database cleanup The Access Monitor function uses actual RACF database usage information to analyze profiles, permits and connects and automatically generate the commands to clean up the database. Administrators can review commands to confirm that cleanup actions do not affect definitions that must be retained. Increase the integrity of system security by removing unused or obsolete profiles, permits, and connects. Reduce manual effort needed in processes for assuring compliance and improve data consolidation using less memory, CPU and elapsed time.
RACF usage reporting using the Access Monitor function Report on actual usage of profiles and authorizations and relate that information to the current profile and authorizations defined in the current RACF database. Understand how profiles and authorizations are used in production. Identify unused or obsolete profiles and authorizations on ACL lists.
