Entwicklungstools für Pacbase-Anwendungen

IBM Rational Programming Patterns for System z erweitert die Entwicklungs- und Bereitstellungstools von IBM Rational Developer for System z und IBM Rational Team Concert. Die Funktionen dieser Lösung sind abgestimmt auf das Pacbase Pattern Driven-Entwicklungskonzept für Anwendungen, die mit VisualAge Pacbase V3.5 entwickelt wurden. Rational Programming Patterns for System z umfasst Muster zur Datenbeschreibung, Programmiermuster für herkömmliche Anwendungen, Makrostrukturmuster und COBOL-Mikromuster.

  • Mit der Lösung wird das Pacbase MDD-Konzept (Pacbase Model Driven Development) modernisiert. In diesem Zuge stehen neue Modelle für Daten, Stapel- und Transaktionsanwendungen und Generatoren für System z sowie IBM Jazz-basierte Repository-Services für Pacbase-Artefakte zur Verfügung.
  • Eingeschlossen ist eine umfassende, bereichsübergreifende IDE, mit der Pacbase-Entwickler ein hohes Maß an individueller Produktivität aufrechterhalten können, während die Entwicklungsprozesse und -tools mit System z und Java-Entwicklern vereinheitlicht werden.
  • Der Rational Developer for System z COBOL-Quellcodeeditor (LPEX) wird erweitert, um die Aufgaben in einem generierten COBOL-Quellcode zu optimieren.
  • Durch entsprechende Erweiterungen umfassen die Rational Team Concert Repository-Services nun auch die Wirkungsanalyse und die multikriterielle Suche für Entwicklungsartefakte, die von Pacbase migriert wurden.
  • Projekte oder Komponenten können aus Rational Team Concert extrahiert und in ein externes Managementsystem für die Softwarekonfiguration importiert werden.

Migration tools require VisualAge Pacbase v3.5.7

VisualAge Pacbase 3.5 V07, or later: To migrate from a Pacbase repository, you must first extract data from Pacbase. The extraction procedures used to create the data are available with Pacbase 3.5 V07, or later.
