In addition, Tivoli Provisioning Manager for OS Deployment can create a file-based image. Each file only needs to be captured and stored once rather than a full image. As a result, the process for capturing the image is faster, the number of images that you need to manage is fewer and deployment and re-imaging new systems is faster than alternative methods.
