WebSphere Transformation Extender Industry Packs

WebSphere® Transformation Extender Industry Packs provide out-of-the-box capabilities to integrate a range of industry standard data formats with your enterprise infrastructure. Industry Packs enable developers to accelerate the delivery of transformation solutions by providing predefined type tree templates, conversion maps, and in some cases provide validation maps and tools to remove risk from projects that require conformance to mandatory and advisory guidelines required by the regulatory body or industry service provider.

WebSphere Transformation Extender Industry Packs used in conjunction with WebSphere Transformation Extender, a universal data transformation engine, provide organizations with an infrastructure that:

Financial Services

FIX (Financial Information eXchange Protocol)

WebSphere Transformation Extender Pack for FIX delivers prebuilt data transformation content for the FIX Protocol. FIX is a set of message specifications for automated trading of financial instruments and is used as a standard format in straight-through-processing and collaboration scenarios by banks, brokers, dealers, and market makers, including the foreign exchange markets. Originally conceived in 1992, FIX formats are available in both older tag=value, and XML (FIXML), both DTD and XML Schema based. The Pack supports version 4.0 through 4.4, and 5.0 of these formats.

NACHA( National Automated Clearing House Association)

WebSphere Transformation Extender Pack for NACHA delivers templates for 2007 Automated Clearing House (ACH) compliant message exchange used throughout North America for electronic payments. More checks are also now processed as ACH transfers. The most common uses of ACH are online bill payment, mortgage and loan repayment, and direct deposit of payroll. Like many older financial formats ACH is in an 'envelope' structure consisting of a file header/trailer, batch header/trailer and detailed transaction records. This pack delivers validation using the guidance provided by NACHA. Maps are included for conversion of Cash Concentration and Dispersion (CCD) and Corporate Trading Exchange (CTX) ACH formats, with examples for handling ACH acknowledgements and returns.

SEPA (Single Euro Payment Area)

WebSphere Transformation Extender Pack for SEPA helps banks and financial institutions meet their compliance obligations to the European Union initiative to have a pan-European electronic payments infrastructure. It includes templates for SEPA credit transfers and direct debits, mapping between SEPA and SWIFT message type103 as well as validation for European Payment Councils SEPA implementation guidelines. Additional converter examples for mapping MT101, 102, 102+, 103+ SWIFT message types to SEPA credit transfer messages are included, and additional validation updates implemented from the European Payment Council guidelines.

SWIFT
WebSphere Transformation Extender Pack for SWIFT provides support for SRG 2011 and SWIFTNet Fin updates including ISO 20022 and ISO 15022 data dictionaries for MT-MX message coexistence and the complete catalog of SWIFT messages and SWIFT business rules.

In addition to templates and maps, it includes validation to ensure messages conform to SWIFT message standards, delivery monitoring, and prioritization of message storage and retrieval. Samples are included for Swift Alliance Access (SAA) headers for SWIFTNet Phase 2.

As part of SWIFT Partnership framework, the SWIFTReady certification program certifies the SWIFT-compliance of third-party financial applications that complement SWIFT’s value proposition. Certified applications are awarded a SWIFTReady Application label following their functional and technical compliance with SWIFT standards, messaging services and connectivity. Designed to reflect an application’s ability to provide automation in a SWIFT environment, the application label is based on a dedicated set of SWIFT-specific certification criteria (link resides outside of ibm.com) that are re-evaluated annually.
